About Me

Before DesignLab’s UX Academy, my professional journey started at the furthest point from UX design: food service. Starting at seventeen years old, I have spent a total of about five years in the service industry between two different companies. My position in management taught me many valuable skills that transcend just that industry. Delegating responsibilities to colleagues, as well as managing mine and their time simultaneously. I also listened to and prioritized customer feedback which goes hand-in-hand with user testing for digital designs. My background in visual art spans back decades compared to my time in food service. Since then, I have been developing skills in working with colors, composition, visual design with characters and environments.
